Letters are the slow writing — essays, the Dear Protégé series, the Lagos vignettes, the country-as-subject pieces. They live in this narrow column on purpose. The eye gets a comfortable line. The serif gets to breathe. There is no chrome, no sidebar, no related-posts, no comments. Just the page and the next paragraph.
The reader should feel seen and cornered at the same time.
